Brief Comments On The Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National Reserve is a professionally managed, which receives many tourists each year in Kenya. Covering approximately 1510 km square of land in south-western Kenya, Mara is part of the Rift Valley, the largest province in Kenya. It started purely as a game reserve in 1961, but much of it was made a national reserve in 1974.

Mara has achieved an incredible ecological unit consisting of animals, plants and people (Maasai tribe), who collaborate with the way in harmony. Although Kenya has many other game reserves, are not as famous as the Masai Mara is one of the world. This hilly grass gets a lot of rain between November and June, and is suitable for various species of animals and birds.

The Mara River is proving to be a source of water for many types of wild animals each year, this may be a part of the reason the Masai Mara remains one of the richest in the world safari. The safari here, you may be able to identify the "big five" in all its glory (the black rhino, Cape buffalo, Masai lion, elephant and leopard).

There are also many other animals that live in the park, such as crocodiles, hippos, giraffes and Masai Rothschilds, wildebeests, and mice. There are also several species of birds in the Mara, which consists of a crowned eagle, Goliath Heron, the gray-Kingfisher, Lilac-breasted roller and transfers Super.
